The SNP’s Angus B MacNeil has contacted Loganair following reports of delays and cancellations with flights from Glasgow to Benbecula.

Mr MacNeil understands that on Monday the flight was cancelled, Tuesday the flight was delayed and today the flight has been cancelled for technical reasons.

Commenting Angus MacNeil said:

“It is very disappointing to hear that passengers travelling between Glasgow and Benbecula have suffered three consecutive days of flight delays and cancellations.

“The people of Benbecula pay dearly for flights but it would appear that they are receiving a shoddy service from Loganair.

“Flight delays and cancellations create real problems for the travelling public and I have asked Loganair to confirm what contingency plans are in place in the event of disruptions to the service.”
