Carnan Post Office update

Despite delays due to technical issues, plans are ongoing to open Carnan Post Office at Lovat’s Ltd, Carnan, Isle of South Uist.

Na h-Eileanan an Iar SNP MP, Angus MacNeil has received an update from Post Office Ltd who confirmed that due to technical issues, there is a delay in opening Carnan Post Office.

Commenting Angus MacNeil MP said:

“I have been notified that the delay in opening Carnan Post Office is due to technical issues. Post Office Ltd is continuing to work on resolving these issues.

“It will be good for the community that we have engaged to continue to keep a post office in the area, this has been quite a long process but worth it in the end and whilst we are waiting for an exact opening date, I am sure customers will welcome the extended opening hours at Carnan Post Office which are:

08:00 – 18:00 Monday – Saturday

14:00 – 16:00 Sunday

“Creagorry Post Office will be closed temporarily from 13:00 on Saturday 15 February until 08:30 on Wednesday 5 March and the nearest alternative Post Office is Balivanich Post Office, opening hours:
