Na h-Eileanan an Iar SNP MP Angus MacNeil has welcomed the announcement that BI Fab operators of the Arnish yard at Stornoway have won a contract from Premier Oil which will see part of the work carried out at the Lewis yard, with the main part of the work  being  carried out at the companies Fife yard.

Commenting Angus MacNeil said:

“This is great news for the company and especially for the yard at Arnish in Lewis, which will hopefully see new jobs being created and also guarantees  work at the yard for the next 18 months. This will be a huge boost to the local economy and is a compliment to the skilled workforce at Arnish.”
