Na h-Eileanan an Iar SNP MP, Angus Brendan MacNeil has today written to Citylink to ensure that sufficient buses are available on the Inverness to Ullapool route. This follows reports that today, Monday, the bus from Inverness to Ullapool was full and some passengers had to make alternative travel plans.
Angus MacNeil said:
“In the summer, we experienced difficulties with Citylink, when passengers were left waiting at the pier in Ullapool because the bus was full. With many students and workers travelling home for Christmas the last thing we want to see is people stranded again.”
“I have written to Citylink to ask them to prepare for a possible increase in passengers numbers so that everyone who wishes to travel can do so.
“It is also important that anyone wishing to travel during this period should if possible; pre-book their ticket by contacting Citylink.”
